Looking back to my origins as a culinary chef, I wondered if there was anything I could create. Is there any way to create a product that will attract customers? I have had this strong feeling since I was a teenager. I was always good at detailed work, and I changed my mindset from cooking to thinking that good food is also about the atmosphere and space in which you eat it. Only when you enjoy the food with all five senses can you encounter the real taste. I was growing more and more aware of this thought day by day.
In 1993, he achieved his long-held dream of becoming independent and designed his own restaurant. A restaurant bar with private rooms, which was rare at the time.
The way the lighting was applied and arranged, the Japanese hospitality with abundant use of bamboo and wood, the way the private rooms were assembled, and the overall design of the restaurant were all the first steps in giving form to the image Chiga had created in his mind.
Later, he further introduced new ideas and opened a modern creative restaurant as he was originally interested in Japanese culture. It has grown into a popular restaurant.
I wondered if I could further develop the path I had taken as a creative chef and store designer. It was with these thoughts in mind that I encountered "bonsai" and "kimono.
Bonsai can give form to feelings and scenes of the moment. Despite the fact that it is such a fascinating part of Japanese culture, it rarely sees the light of day. I want to become more familiar with it and spread Japanese culture. I was so excited to be a part of this project. From there, I went to see hundreds of obi and bonsai and experienced the splendor anew.
Live bonsais are difficult to maintain, and kimono obis are often stored away in wardrobes, rarely used. Kenju Japan's "Bonsai" and "Obi Art" have created a solution to this problem. Bonsai," which are made to look like the real thing, will never wither and can be sculpted into any shape or form you desire. And yet, it has a noble presence.
Obi designs are truly delicate, and the more you look at them, the more you are drawn in. The more you look at them, the more you are drawn to them. This is the birth of "obi art.
No two pieces are the same. I incorporate the feelings and scenes of the time when I created the work, and create a work that is unique in the world. I will continue to devote myself to making great strides as a new Japanese cultural artist.
